  • Discussed new CEO coming on-board at JEEViKA and DG explained history of our relationship is institutional and not limited to an individual and plan to engage new CEO across all active DG - JEEViKA workstreams over the coming days

  • DG and Sequoia teams recognized critical need for capacity building and knowledge / awareness on the role that climate smart agriculture can plan in reducing emissions and driving sustainable development at many levels within government

    • DG and Sequoia teams recognized importance of leading with farmer benefit, esp wrt to climate resilience, when introducing CSA practices in order to get buy-in and ultimately drive adoption

    • Resilience in India has typically focused on recovery from natural disasters like floods, need to recognize that is has multiple dimensions (eg, crop diversification to less water intensive and more nutritious crops); this needs to be sensitized at various levels

  • Discussed how the consortium of DG + Cornell / CSISA + EDF is a novel, complementary and effective platform which is now seeing increased momentum especially after having an opportunity to meet and work together in person in Patna in late March

  • Reviewed the MRV / data collection workflow and answered questions about current status of generating emission estimates and model inter-comparison
