Grant period: October 1, 2021 - September 30, 2023

 

Key dates:

  • April 1, 2022 - Strategic review call. This will take place after submission of briefing memo, due o/a March 18, 2022 (ten business days before the call). Sequoia will provide the briefing memo template 30 days before the call.

  • August 1, 2022 - Technical and financial report. Sequoia will provide the templates 30 days before they are due. There will be an annual review discussion that may lead to revisions of the outcomes and objectives.

  • April 3, 2023 - Strategic review call

  • December 1, 2023 - Technical and financial report (final)

Reports must be submitted to reporting@sequoiaclimate.org + Sequoia program officer on copy.

 

Compliance with donors requirements:

  • No substantial budget variances allowed (+/- 20% of a line item) without written approval

  • Transfer of funds to Indian organizations must follow Section 11 of the Agreement, which includes following FCRA and India exchange control laws

  • We must be able to submit any modeling, data analysis or policy analysis methods upon request

  • We must submit publications, audio or video products to Sequoia

  • We must comply with open data and data sharing policies (Sequoia’s policy). This flows down to include subs

  • Prior consent from Sequoia is required for sharing information about the grant (launch, social media, etc.). AT THIS TIME, NO PUBLIC DISCLOSURE OF SEQUOIA AS THE FUNDER OR USE OF THEIR LOGO IS ALLOWED.

  • Need to identify “key personnel” (with significant role) and inform Sequoia when there are any departures/changes
