Here are a few takeaways and Action points from the meeting held on 7.06.2022 with access Livelihoods.

Meeting Notes : 

1. Introduction  about DG and the concept of Digital farmers network was presented . 

2. How Data can help the Farmer / Farmer producer organizations to access different Services.

3. ALC is working with 17 FPOs in different parts of the country and initiating different activities to shape the livelihood ecosystem .

4. ALC has piloted Agroecological production under climate resilient agriculture with 200 farmers of AP , Telangana & Odisha and are planning to scale up the same with 500 farmers this FY.  ( major crops - paddy , Cashew & Turmeric in AP , Red gram & groundnut in Telangana , Paddy in Odisha ) .

5. ALC is working with milk producers in Maharashtra and planning to have retail outlets to make the market easily accessible for the FPO. These are pretty advanced and ALC wants to invest in marketing (basically, retail outlets and branding so they can build direct connections with consumers).

6. They have also discussed the Desi poultry activity which they are undergoing in Maharashtra and facing a lot of issues in the supply chain . In order to address the problem they are planning to have a proper supply chain for the produce to market through retail outlets.

Follow up Actions : 

1. ALC to submit a list of 5 possible pilots / investments they are looking for . 

Expectations in the Proposal :

a. The FPO and commodity details . 

b. Landscape of the kind of investment you are looking for .

c. The Data consumers involved in the particular pilot who will be providing services to the FPO . 

d. Ecosystem and farmer benefits . ( Clear Climate , gender or income benefit )
