Regen Digital helps farmers manage their environmental assets. It is a tool that farmers use to understand and capture the opportunity in carbon and environmental markets.
The platform enables farmers to create a digital twin of their farm and obtain an indicative assessment of its environmental value viewed through a range of metrics. Farmers can then model different environmental actions and the way these would impact their operations and income.
Ultimately, Regen Digital helps farmers capture the ‘green’ credentials of their farm. Farmers can transact and manage environmental market contracts, and can use the platform to demonstrate the green provenance of their produce.
Regen Farmers Mutual has a group (100+) of Australian farmers that they want to shepherd (as a co-op business) from soup to nuts in environmental claims
this starts with education, a suitability survey (data collection + analysis), plan development, smart (or dumb) contract, and then execution
they have partners for the various pieces of the process
data collection includes: farmer-collected data, central polygon definition, and 3rd party field-collected data
modelling yields an estimate of what actions might produce which economic outcomes
for execution, they want to work towards standardized legal agreements which can be made “smart” for further cost savings
they’re excited about the concept of a shared question set; they did a lot of work to combine/standardize the data needed for six different claims programs into 185 (!) farmer questions
