Open House (Dec 2)

Context

I'd like to invite everyone to an "open house" with me. Its entirely optional, but we're reaching an important phase in our strategy development process. In particular, many of the ideas and initiatives have converged for me on the need for us to invest in developing a foundational digital "farmer data network" that can power a variety of use-cases that ourselves, our gov't partners, and others in the agri-tech ecosystem can leverage while giving farmers and farmer organizations greater agency and choice.

I'd like to carve out some dedicated open space for Q&A, ideas, concerns, etc. related to that or anything that's on anyone's mind. Alesha and I will record a video prior these office hours on this "farmer data network" vision and we'll send out a poll to everyone who wants to share their feedback/thoughts on it in advance. This would be a bold decision for us to take that could help unify the vision for our strategy and would also have significant impacts our organizational development too.

I'll be the first to admit that I/we won't have all the answers and that there will be inevitable setbacks, but it is critical that we have (1) have a shared understanding of the vision and (2) map out its corresponding implications. I'm eager to connect with you so we can better take an informed call on the direction that we collectively commit ourselves to taking forward.
