Some useful information:

  • The seasonal calendar is available with CYSD.

  • FPO spread over 38 villages/ 550 shareholders ( around 3000 members in total)

  • 1,60,000 Brinjal seedlings indent received from 250 farmers for Kharif. Documented at PG level registers.

  • FPO has raised 1,60,000 Brinjal seedlings ( Variety …….) on raised seed beds. The exact details of the seedlings raised will be available at the end of June 22. ( there is no visibility of the consolidated number of seedlings raised, or sold ) seedlings are sold @ Re per seedling.

  • Nursery is spread over 27 villages depending on the indent by the farmers. Nursery is given to the identified families who have access to Land and Water and have experience in nursery raising. AHO and Krushiksathi ( volunteer for the Agri department) provide technical support.

  • FPC is facilitating indent from the farmers ( thru village level meetings) for the Tomato crop. At present they have received indent for 60000 seedlings and are expecting indent from 984 farmers which would lead to around 2 lakh seedlings. The nursery would start from the final week of July.

  • FPC wants to initiate Chilly nursery as well for 100 farmers this season.

  • FPC is planning to purchase a land (paperwork in progress)

  • FPC has done aggregation of vegetables ( Farm gate)

17. Do you have a work plan to implement the activity. ( activities with the timeline).

18. Do you have persons on the ground to collect the data relevant to the proposed activity.

19. Do you have clarity on data collection needs and their importance.

4.5.22 - PG visit, Nursery visit, Community farming visit, Meeting AHO and Reliance fresh procurement officer.

AHO , Salarpada, Sasmita Nayak

-AHO to connect FPO to an Engineer, who has expertise in constructing polyhouse.

-They need, Adhar+Patta ( land record)+Photo+Address +Bank details to provide any support- Could be a good case for FPOs to act as a link between Govt and Members (MIDH scheme)

-They would provide all the technical support to the FPC

-AHO is supported by two extension workers and one observer And is supported by UdyogMitra to connect with the people.

-Needs production details of all the farmers ( FPO is working in 6 GPs)

Jagatjanani PG- 50 members

-7 beds of Nursery, used 15 packets of Seeds ( each packet would give 1000 seedlings).

-Indent for 30 K seedlings from the farmers, this PG has 13K seedlings ( approximate).

-Numbers are approximate. Sale price Re 1 per seedling.

-There are individual nurseries as well. None of the farmers present in the meeting is purchasing seedlings from this nursery.

-Seedlings will be utilized for community Veg farming ( Brinjal) by 30 members. They have leased 7 acres of land for the purpose. All 30 members would invest Rs 2K per member and divide the profit/loss.
