Samudra Manthana

Samudra Manthana is an ongoing Product team exercise to frequently meet different stakeholders in the field to conduct user research.

We meet them without prior bias about any solution Digital Green already provides. Instead, the exercise is about learning user journeys and behavior and listing pain points they face in accomplishing a goal.

The users/actors are:

  • Farmers (mainly in groups)

  • Group leaders of farmer organizations (Structured or unstructured)

  • Partners ( Other NGOs and Govt.)

  • Service providers

  • Others

Pain point and solution mapping are made later based on the pain point's severity, technical feasibility, or the possibility of a solution, who can provide the resolution, and how(digital, non-digital).

Samudra Manthana will follow a simple template similar to a retrospective meeting we use in a scrum meeting.

Activity/Goal of a persona or an entity

What works?

What doesn’t work?

What are the obstacles?

Root cause analysis

Based on the need and budget, we will conduct Samudra Manthana drives throughout the year.

Samudra Manthana, the name has been derived from a mega event in Hindu mythology, where different actors churned the ocean to find the heavenly nectar of immortality.
