Requirement

  1. Users need to know in a user friendly way

    1. Status of the connectors

    2. Warnings and exception message (nested in status in some cases)

    3. History of the logs (data transfer volumes as a time series) and

    4. Security threats (connection attempt by unauthorised connector(s) etc)

  2. Users need to see and/or share with support team raw files in case of unexpected halts of the connectors

  3. Admin users need to monitor network level activity which is a) sum total of connectors statuses etc (drill down in UI) and b) network level statuses (server level logs etc)

 

Logs to be captured

  1. Raw log of the connectors - this is at the lowest level

  2. Connector message level logs - logs that can be created from the connector messages example usage policy failed or something else

  3. Server/ OS level logs - should be part of the wrapper around the connectors
