Few updates :

  • Total marketable tomato sapling - 75,300 (10% loss )

  • Last date for Tomato seedling - 24.08.2022 - 04.09.2022

  • The Indent collection for the next season has been started for the crops , Tomato, Brinjal, Cabbage , Cauliflower & Bitter Gourd .

  • Total Number of Farmers given Indent are 222 & advance collected from 94 Farmers

  • There are farmers who have given orders for all the three crops and there are some new farmers with single crop demand .

  • The Farmers get difficulty in transferring the saplings from the tray while selling .

Suggested solution - The FPO can directly sell the sapling with the tray to farmers and keep some money as security  and return the same when the farmer returns back the trays.

  • The selling of saplings is happening from the nursery gate .

  • The farmer is expecting advisory assistance from the FPO .

  • Till now there are no rejections in the selling of saplings .

  • The farmer is preparing the field prior to the purchase of sapling and transplants the saplings on the same day .

  • A  technical training on poly house nursery & PoP was arranged by Digital green on 12.08.2022. The trainer was from KVK and has given training on technical usage of the nursery, the process and methodology of sowing the seeds and the care to be taken after sowing  with the BODs and Data Officer.

Register Update :

As mentioned earlier , the FPO is maintaining all the required information in the following format.

  1. Farmer wise information - Indent collected variety wise , Advance collected , Bill No, Name, Phn No, Sapling sold , Signature, Village, Total land,

  2. Stock register  (Seed, Coco pit, VermiCompost, Paralite, Vermiculite)

  3. Monthly Expenditure (Includes Input & Labor)

  4. Nursery data (Seed Shown day wise ,variety wise & Crop wise)

Problems :

  1. There is a sign of yellowness in a few saplings , which needs immediate assistance . The farmers are complaining about the yellow leaves in a few seedlings but they haven't rejected it till now. The problem was discussed earlier in the training given by the trainer from KvK. It was suggested to use 19:19 N.P.K & Jivras , but Jivras is not available in the market. Use of only 19:19 is not showing the effect. One of the other reasons for the yellowness is the use of more water in the rainy season as mentioned by the trainer from KvK.

  1. The trader from which the FPO is buying the seeds and other inputs is delaying the supply of the inputs which affects the time of showing the seeds. The FPO needs a connection with some new trader who can give the input in time and also in the credit facility .
