Meeting Objectives

  • Agree on what is success over the next 6 months

  • Align on key hypotheses we want to test

  • Identify KPIs / success indicators that give us a clear signal about how to proceed

  • Define key workstreams and owners

    • Eg. “Front-end” design and development, “Back-end” design and development, Data officer training, Project Scoping and Due Diligence, Donor/Co-funder engagement, Marketing, Data consumer engagement (scope additional data driven use cases), etc

  • What data should we capture as part of the funding platform reporting requirements (high level)

  • Alignment on types of projects we will fund. Eg, do we want to be totally farmer / demand driven vs. encourage farmer groups to select from a curated list?

    • Establish timeline to say yes/no the FPOs so we don’t leave them hanging

Thursday (May 5)

DFN: Aligning on end vision, language and open questions (1-1.5 hrs)-Share roadmap and reflect on the inputs/ answer questions from the group based on field observations

Group work: Groups (3-4 hours) - Facilitate discussion based on some guiding questions in functional groups
to help to narrow in on our initial design, open questions, and how we might answer those questions.
-Group 1: DFN Frontend/FO Data Capture and Management (Falguni, KDE lead/FRAME implementing experience, MEL rep, program/field leader) -Group 2: DFN Backend/Data management (wallet) and data sharing (Vineet/Gautam, program/field leader from AP part of pilot, Andrew, Tetyana around data governance?) -Group 3: Farmer org capacity strengthening// assessing skill, designing training on tools and concepts (Vineet/Gautam on wallet experience, program/field leader from AP on consent manager, Ethiopia team members, Gelsey, Kebede?, Henry?)
